Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, at an event in Gandhinagar, highlighted the BJP’s recent wins in Gujarat and took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Shah emphasized that the BJP’s success in various elections showcased public trust in their governance and development strategies. He attributed the BJP’s consistent victories in Gujarat to their strong connection with the people and focus on development.
Shah criticized the Congress for making claims about future electoral triumphs despite facing repeated defeats. Specifically mentioning Rahul Gandhi’s statements, Shah dismissed the possibility of Congress winning anytime soon. He clarified that the BJP’s confidence stemmed from their work ethic and not arrogance, emphasizing the party’s self-assurance based on performance rather than pride.
The Union Minister highlighted the BJP’s triumphs in municipal corporations, municipalities, and panchayat elections across Gujarat. He noted that the party’s success in these polls was a result of years of dedicated grassroots efforts and effective organization at the booth level. Shah praised BJP workers for their continuous engagement with the public, addressing local concerns, and providing support during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Shah commended the commitment of BJP workers and elected representatives since the 1990s, which has garnered consistent support from the people of Gujarat. Additionally, he discussed ongoing development projects in Gandhinagar, including initiatives related to water supply, sewage treatment, infrastructure, and healthcare facilities. The projects, amounting to Rs 620 crore, aim to enhance the quality of life in both new and existing areas of Gandhinagar.
