Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit West Bengal for two days, starting Friday evening, to oversee organizational activities and engage in mass outreach programs. Unlike his previous visit where he mainly focused on internal events, this time, his emphasis will be on public engagement. During his last visit, he only held a press conference as a public event.
Upon his arrival at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Friday evening, Shah will meet with the BJP’s core committee members in the state to discuss election preparedness issues. The following day, he will address public rallies and party workers’ conferences in Barrackpore and Siliguri, emphasizing different organizational districts in each location.
After the Siliguri rally, Amit Shah will depart for New Delhi from Bagdogra Airport. The BJP’s strategic focus on West Bengal, demonstrated by visits from top leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party President Nitin Nabin, and now Shah, well ahead of the election schedule, underscores the party’s seriousness about the upcoming state Assembly elections.
