Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Tamil Nadu on Saturday night to lead the BJP’s campaign in the final phase of the Assembly elections. He will conduct high-profile roadshows on Sunday, starting with a campaign in Modakurichi Assembly constituency in Erode district to support BJP candidate Kirthika Shivkumar. The party is focusing on direct voter outreach in the strategically important western belt.
Shah will then proceed to Chennai for another significant roadshow in support of BJP nominee Tamilisai Soundararajan. During his visit, he is expected to visit the Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore before the roadshow. The aim of these roadshows is to energize party cadres and enhance last-mile mobilization in western and northern Tamil Nadu.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is intensifying its campaign in Tamil Nadu, with top leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah actively participating. With the elections approaching, the BJP is emphasizing direct engagement with voters and leveraging the presence of senior leaders to strengthen its electoral prospects in the State.
