Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Odisha for two days starting March 5. A preparatory meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg was held ahead of his visit. Shah will arrive in Odisha on the evening of March 5 via a special Indian Air Force aircraft from New Delhi.
On March 6, Shah will participate in the Foundation Day event of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in Cuttack district. He will then visit Jatni in Khurda district to lay the foundation stone for the Bhubaneswar campuses of the National Forensic Sciences University and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL). Additionally, he will virtually inaugurate the National Forensic Sciences University Transit Campus in Bhubaneswar.
During his visit, Shah will also inaugurate the ‘Naveen Nyaya Sanhita’ exhibition at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar. Various projects related to the Cooperation Department and other state departments will be inaugurated and have foundation stones laid by him.
To ensure a successful visit, preparations include black-topping of roads, street lighting, sanitation, cleanliness, and beautification works from Godisahi to Mundali. Detailed reviews of the Minister’s itinerary, security arrangements, traffic and route planning, and logistical preparations have been conducted.
The Chief Secretary emphasized close coordination and timely preparations by all departments for the smooth conduct of the Home Minister’s visit. Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Home, Industries, and Information & Public Relations Department, briefed the meeting on the State Government’s preparatory measures.
