Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed sorrow over the passing of renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Mufti Abdul Wahab. Naidu paid tribute to Maulana Abdul Wahab, recognizing his 60-year dedication to Islamic education, teaching the Qur’an and Hadith, and his service to Jamia Noor-ul-Huda Madrasa.
Mufti Abdul Wahab, who served as the President of the Andhra Pradesh State Tabligh-e-Jamaat for 50 years and later as the honorary President of the Andhra Pradesh State Jamiat-ul-Ulama, was praised for his expertise in Arabic literature, Fiqh, Hadith, and other Islamic sciences. Law and Minorities Welfare Minister N.M.D. Farooq also mourned his loss, acknowledging Abdul Wahab’s significant contributions to Islamic education and society.
Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed deep sadness over Maulana Abdul Wahab’s demise, highlighting his six-decade commitment to Islamic education and spiritual leadership. Reddy emphasized Abdul Wahab’s role in shaping students at Jamia Noorul Huda Madrasa and his long-standing service to the Muslim community in Andhra Pradesh. He extended condolences to Abdul Wahab’s family, followers, and students, praying for strength during this difficult time.
