The Army’s Gajraj Corps organized a military-civil fusion seminar named “Sonitpur SAMVAD” in Tezpur to enhance civil-military cooperation and support nation-building efforts. The seminar focused on the pillars of Samanvay, Aatmanirbharta, Mansik Dridhta, Vishwas, and Vikas, aligning with the vision of “Samoohik Prayas Se Rashtranirman.”
During the event, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Gajraj Corps, emphasized JAI — Jointness, Aatmanirbharta, and Innovation — as crucial elements for building a secure and future-ready India. The GOC stressed the need for coordinated efforts, convergence of capabilities, and timely goal implementation to boost national development and regional resilience.
In a significant move to strengthen civil-military ties, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) and Army hospitals under the Gajraj Corps. This collaboration aims to enhance mental healthcare through clinical support, training, research, and community outreach, benefiting both military personnel and civilians.
The seminar saw participation from senior officials of the Assam administration, Tezpur University’s Vice Chancellor, and representatives from key institutions, highlighting the importance of integrated development and mental well-being. Additionally, the Assam Rifles marked the nationwide ‘Fit India Movement’ with fitness events promoting wellness and community engagement in Manipur’s Tengnoupal district.
