Anupam emphasized that any wrongdoing should be addressed without implicating the religious figures involved.
Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya recently requested custody of three individuals following the recovery of significant amounts of cash in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Ram Temple donation theft case. The authorities aim to gather crucial information about the accused’s bank accounts and trace the financial transactions related to the recovered money. Investigators suspect that part of the allegedly stolen funds might have been used for purchasing various items.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the Uttar Pradesh government submitted a preliminary report on the alleged irregularities surrounding the cash theft during the counting process at the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The report identified several instances of counting staff concealing money in their clothing and personal belongings, leading to the involvement of six individuals in the malpractice. The SIT highlighted significant lapses in supervision and procedures, pointing out security breaches and oversight failures.
