Anvita Khammam Aces clinched a spot in the final of the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s TG20 with a thrilling 10-run victory over Hyderabad E-Champions in Qualifier 1 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. Mickil Jaiswal’s unbeaten 76 and a strong bowling performance by Sahendra Mallu (3/31) and Harshith Sai guided the Aces to defend 200 runs successfully.
The Aces will proceed directly to the final scheduled for Sunday, July 12, while Hyderabad E-Champions will get another chance to qualify by facing EIPL & eleve Karimnagar Diamonds in Qualifier 2. The Diamonds earned this opportunity after defeating Ranga Reddy Risers by 75 runs in the Eliminator match.
Anvita Khammam Aces made a solid start with Paras Raj (32 off 18) leading the charge, despite an early setback of Wafi Kachchhi (3 off 5). Paras’ aggressive approach, supported by G Sai Krishna Reddy (40 off 30) and Ananth Prateek Reddy (18 off 11), propelled the Aces to a competitive total.
Mickil Jaiswal’s impressive 76 off 34, along with valuable contributions from other players, helped the Aces post a formidable 200/6. In response, Hyderabad E-Champions, led by Sai Vikas Reddy’s explosive 69 off 27, fell short by 10 runs despite a valiant effort.
