A shooter associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang, wanted for various crimes in Rajasthan, was apprehended in New Delhi. The arrest, a joint operation by Delhi and Rajasthan police, is a significant breakthrough in combating organized crime. Identified as Pardeep Sharma alias Golu, the shooter was linked to extortion, armed assaults, and illegal weapon supply cases.
The apprehension of Golu, aged around 23 and hailing from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, was in connection with a December 31 FIR in Rajasthan. He was suspected of direct involvement in criminal activities alongside his associates. The gang had demanded a hefty extortion sum from a Ganganagar businessman, leading to violent threats and attacks.
In March 2025, the gang demanded Rs 4 crore from a Rajasthan businessman, resorting to violence when the demand was refused. Golu and his associates allegedly fired shots at the businessman in May 2025. Despite previous arrests, Golu continued criminal activities, including supplying arms to the gang members. His involvement in weapon-related crimes led to further police action.
The Delhi Police’s Crime Branch, in response to rising organized crime incidents, has intensified efforts to combat criminal activities. A dedicated Anti-Gangster Squad, led by Inspector Krishan Kumar, played a crucial role in tracking down active criminals. Following a raid in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, on January 16, Golu was apprehended with the help of Rajasthan Police.
Golu, originally from Agra and residing in Delhi, had a history of violent activities in Rajasthan. His association with the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang and active criminal involvement in Rajasthan were confirmed. After interrogation, Rajasthan Police took custody of Golu for further investigation into his role in the criminal cases.
