In the ongoing investigation into the alleged NEET 2026 paper leak, the CBI and Rajasthan Police have conducted arrests and detentions nationwide. A total of 16 individuals from various parts of the country are currently in custody, with more arrests expected as authorities delve deeper into the suspected leak network.
Two individuals have been apprehended in Maharashtra’s Indiranagar, one of whom is a 30-year-old BAMS student who had traveled out of state for studies. The investigation has revealed connections stretching from Nashik to Haryana, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, hinting at a potential inter-state network involved in the distribution of leaked examination material.
Following leads, the Nashik City Police detained a suspect based on information received late in the evening, leading to the individual’s arrest the next day. The CBI provided crucial technical inputs to the Rajasthan Police, aiding in the identification of suspects. Despite attempts to alter his appearance, one detainee revealed his identity promptly upon apprehension.
Authorities discovered that a student had allegedly received assistance with studies and exam preparation, obtaining the suspect’s personal details during the investigation. Another individual connected to the case was taken into custody from Pune, as the probe expands to uncover more links in Maharashtra’s Ahilyanagar district.
