The Art of Living commemorated 45 years of humanitarian service and global outreach in Bengaluru. Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan introduced five significant national initiatives at the organization’s International Centre. These initiatives aim to enhance youth development, entrepreneurship, sustainability, consciousness studies, education, and innovation.
The event also marked Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s 70th birthday, celebrating his lifelong dedication to peace, well-being, and human values. Among the initiatives launched were the Youth Career Excellence Programme and the Centre of Excellence on Consciousness Studies and Human Potential. Vice President Radhakrishnan praised the Art of Living’s global humanitarian work and its presence in 182 countries.
Addressing the audience, Radhakrishnan emphasized the organization’s vision of inner peace as the foundation for outer harmony. He lauded Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for inspiring humanity with values of wisdom, awareness, peace, and harmony. The Vice President also highlighted Gurudev’s humility and warmth, acknowledging his extraordinary contributions.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar stressed the importance of meditation for a healthy, happy, and stress-free life. He called for global unity and harmony, envisioning a world free from fear, tension, and hatred. Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot expressed pride in the state’s association with the Art of Living’s global peace-promoting efforts.
The event featured a demonstration by children participating in the Intuition Programme, showcasing their intuitive abilities. The month-long celebration at the Art of Living International Centre saw the participation of various dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, business leaders, actors, and faith leaders. The celebrations concluded with a renewed commitment to Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s vision of a stress-free and violence-free society rooted in inner peace and human values.
