India seamer Arundhati Reddy has been awarded the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for February 2026, marking her first time receiving this honor. Her outstanding performance was pivotal in India’s remarkable triumph in Australia. Reddy expressed her gratitude, emphasizing the significance of their T20I series victory on Australian soil and the confidence boost it provides as they prepare for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales this summer.
Arundhati Reddy emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the three-match T20I series against Australia, claiming eight wickets at an impressive average of 10.87 and an economy rate of 7.25. Her exceptional contributions were instrumental in India’s 2-1 series win, marking their first T20I series victory in Australia since 2016.
The right-arm seamer showcased precision from the outset, delivering a career-best performance of 4/22 in Sydney and earning the Player of the Match accolade. Throughout the subsequent matches, the 28-year-old continued to make a significant impact, securing figures of 2/30 in Canberra and 2/35 in the decisive match in Adelaide.
India’s upcoming preparations for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England will heavily rely on Reddy’s consistent performance. The team is scheduled to face South Africa in a five-match T20I series starting April 17, led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Subsequently, they will travel to England in May for a single Test match followed by three T20Is, serving as a crucial series ahead of their T20 World Cup campaign.
