Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the integration of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) with DigiLocker to enhance the public recruitment process. This integration aims to provide instant and secure document verification for candidates, making recruitment faster and more secure.
Sarma highlighted that the new system will significantly reduce the time taken during recruitment stages and ensure a fraud-proof process through digital verification of certificates. This initiative is expected to streamline recruitments by minimizing manual verification, reducing paperwork, and increasing transparency.
The integration with DigiLocker is part of the state government’s efforts to modernize public recruitment processes. By allowing candidates to share authenticated digital documents, this move will expedite recruitment, benefiting thousands of aspirants appearing for competitive exams annually.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of technology-driven governance in simplifying government services for citizens. This integration is aligned with the theme of “Ease of Living” and is set to further strengthen the state’s recruitment reforms for a more efficient and transparent system.
