Assam Congress President Gaurav Gogoi criticized Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma by introducing WhoIsHBS.com, a digital platform aimed at scrutinizing Sarma’s political journey and governance style. The platform, unveiled at Rajiv Bhawan in Guwahati in the presence of Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel, contains documents and videos related to Sarma’s political past and actions. Gogoi emphasized the party’s commitment to presenting facts to the people of Assam and holding those in power accountable.
Gogoi, also a Member of Parliament and Deputy Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha, highlighted the importance of citizens understanding Sarma’s impact on governance in Assam. The Congress aims to provide verifiable information through the digital platform and a pamphlet distributed across the state for public awareness. Gogoi stressed that the objective is not sensationalism but to enable individuals to form their own opinions based on facts.
The Congress leader accused Sarma of questionable use of authority and emphasized the necessity for public scrutiny of governance practices and decision-making processes. Gogoi affirmed the party’s commitment to raising these concerns through democratic channels, both within and outside Parliament. Bhupesh Baghel, endorsing transparency and accountability in democracy, reiterated the party’s dedication to grassroots outreach.
As Assam approaches crucial political junctures, Gogoi emphasized the importance of voters being well-informed about their potential leaders. The Congress plans to escalate its campaign to address governance issues and the state’s future in the upcoming days.
