The Pakistan Cricket Board announced that Australia’s men’s cricket team is set to visit Pakistan later this month for a three-match ODI series. This series marks Australia’s return to Pakistan for ODIs since their previous tour in March-April 2022, where Pakistan emerged victorious with a 2-1 win. Following a successful three-match T20I series earlier this year in Lahore, the Australian team is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on May 23.
The tour will commence with the first ODI at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on May 30, followed by matches at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on June 2 and June 4. All three fixtures are slated to start at 4.30 pm local time, with the toss scheduled for 4 pm. Notably, these matches will coincide with the playoffs of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL), with the opening game occurring a day before the IPL final.
Due to IPL commitments, some of Australia’s key white-ball players may miss the series, while others could join after the IPL playoffs. Players like Mitch Marsh, Josh Inglis, and Cameron Green are expected to feature, while rest might be given to players like Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc to focus on the upcoming Test series in Bangladesh. The series against Pakistan offers both teams an opportunity to fine-tune their squads ahead of the next Men’s ODI World Cup.
