The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has acknowledged carrying out a series of assaults on Pakistani forces in Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of seven soldiers. The BLF spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch, revealed that the attacks included ambushing a military convoy in the Surab district on May 10.
The convoy was targeted with rockets and light machine guns, leading to significant damage to two military vehicles and casualties of five soldiers with four others injured. Following the assault, security forces from a nearby checkpoint engaged in clashes with BLF fighters, forcing them to retreat, as reported by The Balochistan Post.
In another incident on the same day, the BLF claimed responsibility for an attack on a Pakistan Frontier Corps (FC) checkpoint in the Kharan district. The assault, involving rockets and grenade launchers, resulted in the death of two FC personnel and injuries to three others. Additionally, the group disabled a communications tower in Kolwah and intercepted a police patrol in Mastung, seizing a Kalashnikov rifle.
