Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has granted pacer Nahid Rana permission to participate in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 final. Initially restricted due to international commitments, Nahid is now set to rejoin Peshawar Zalmi for the final match on May 3. The BCB emphasized the importance of Nahid’s participation in a major global franchise event for his development as a player.
Nahid Rana showcased excellent performance in the PSL, securing seven wickets in four matches with an impressive average of 10.85. His exceptional form continued in international cricket, notably taking 5 for 32 against New Zealand in the second ODI. Despite the proximity of the PSL final to Bangladesh’s upcoming Test series against Pakistan, the BCB affirmed Nahid’s availability for the national team.
BCB’s decision was based on clearance from the team management and medical staff, ensuring Nahid’s fitness and workload management are not compromised. The board had initially provided Nahid with a rest period before his return to national duty. Despite the tight schedule between the PSL final and the Test series, Nahid is expected to be ready for the upcoming match against Pakistan.
