Fans at the Holkar Stadium witnessed a thrilling display of batting as Gwalior Cheetahs and Chambal Ghariyals collectively scored more than 500 runs in a high-octane match in the Aditya Birla Group Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026. The Chambal Ghariyals successfully chased down a record 258 runs to secure victory by three wickets.
In the first innings, the Gwalior Cheetahs unleashed a batting onslaught, amassing a formidable total of 257/6 in their allotted 20 overs against the Chambal Ghariyals. The opening pair of Kartik Parihar and Parth Chaudhary set the tone with a 27-run partnership before Chaudhary continued aggressively, forming crucial stands with Saumy Pandey, Kuldeep Gehi, and captain Rajat Patidar.
Chaudhary’s explosive 73 off 38 balls, Gehi’s blazing 88 off 42 deliveries, and Patidar’s quickfire 46 off 16 balls propelled the Cheetahs to a commanding total. In response, Ankush Singh’s scintillating 101 off 33 balls, including 11 sixes and six fours, kept the Ghariyals in the hunt, but a late collapse was averted by Aman Bhadoriya and Rohit Kumar Gupta’s resilient partnership.
As the match approached its climax, the Ghariyals required 6 runs off the final over, ultimately securing a nail-biting victory with three balls to spare.
