Bengaluru Blasters clinched a thrilling six-wicket win over Gulbarga Mystics in the inaugural match of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 tournament in Mysore. Gulbarga set a challenging target of 201/5 in 20 overs, led by Prakhar Chaturvedi and Aarav Mahesh’s notable performances.
Captain Manish Pandey and Thippa Reddy’s contributions helped Gulbarga surpass the 200-run mark. In response, Bengaluru Blasters started strong, with Bhuvan Mohan Raju and Rohan Patil forming a solid opening partnership of 88 runs. Bhuvan Mohan Raju’s impressive 56 off 29 balls played a pivotal role in Bengaluru’s successful chase.
Despite a brief setback that saw Bengaluru at 122 for three, the team managed to secure victory with a well-paced innings. Krishnan Shrijith and Shubhang Hegde’s partnership further solidified Bengaluru’s win, with Praveen Dubey’s quick 32 not out sealing the deal.
Gulbarga’s bowling efforts were led by Paras Gurbax Arya, while Bengaluru’s batting prowess was highlighted by Shubhang Hegde and Bhuvan Mohan Raju’s performances.
