The Indian Army held a medical camp for ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, and their dependents in Rupai, Assam’s Tinsukia district. The camp, organized by the Red Shield Division under the Spear Corps, aimed to provide healthcare and support to former servicemen and their families. Around 150 participants benefited from medical check-ups, consultations, and essential medicines at the event.
Psychological counseling sessions were also provided to address mental health concerns and promote healthy living practices. The camp emphasized preventive healthcare, lifestyle diseases, and regular health monitoring, especially for senior citizens and retired defense personnel. Additionally, a SPARSH Grievance Cell was set up to assist veterans with pension-related issues and administrative matters.
