The Bengaluru City Crime Branch Anti-Narcotics Wing apprehended two drug peddlers, one being a woman, and dismantled an inter-state drug trafficking network, seizing narcotics and drugs valued at Rs 10 crore. The arrested individuals, Ashwin and Mubeena, reside in Prestige Pansberry Heights Apartments in Bengaluru’s Bagaluru area, with Mubeena originating from Kerala. The authorities confiscated 8,335 LSD strips weighing 124 kilograms, five kilograms of hydro ganja, 534 kilograms of charas, along with two mobile phones and a two-wheeler.
Following a tip-off, the police launched an operation in Bagaluru, leading to the exposure of the illicit operation. In a separate incident, a team under CCB Inspector H.K. Mahanand intercepted 1.5 kilograms of hydro ganja imported through postal services, concealed in chocolate and biscuit boxes to avoid detection. The estimated worth of the seized hydro ganja is Rs 1.5 crore. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and a search for the culprits is underway.
Additionally, CCB operatives, acting on directives from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), apprehended two women suspected of being illegal immigrants within the jurisdiction of the Mico Layout police station.
