Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed sorrow over the tragic killing of Executive Officer Krishna Bhushan Kumar in a firing incident at Sultanganj Nagar Parishad in Bhagalpur district. He praised the officer’s dedication and announced financial aid of Rs 25 lakh for the family. The last rites of the deceased officer will be conducted with full state honors.

Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi condemned the incident and criticized Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. Manjhi lauded the police response, emphasizing a strong stance against criminals in the new Bihar. The incident has triggered political debates on law and order in the state.

The shooting occurred on Tuesday afternoon when armed assailants entered the office and fatally shot Executive Officer Krishna Bhushan Kumar. Municipal Chairman Raj Kumar alias Guddu was also injured and is in critical condition. The main suspect, Ramdhani Yadav, was killed in a police encounter, raising concerns about regional law and order.

Police reported that Ramdhani Yadav and his associates surrendered after the attack but turned hostile during a weapon recovery operation. In the ensuing gunfire exchange, Ramdhani Yadav was fatally wounded. Three police officers were also injured and are receiving medical treatment. The situation remains tense in the area.
