Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar commended the Revenue and Land Reforms Department for its efforts and unveiled significant reforms to streamline land measurement processes, making them quicker, transparent, and more citizen-friendly.
After the formation of the new state government on November 20, 2025, the Seven Resolutions–3 (2025-30) program was initiated to elevate Bihar’s status among the most developed states in the country.
The seventh resolution, ‘Respect for All – Easy Living,’ aims to alleviate citizens’ daily challenges and enhance governance accessibility and responsiveness, as highlighted by Nitish Kumar.
To address delays in land measurement applications causing inconvenience and disputes, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for simplifying, expediting, and citizen-centric land measurement processes.
As part of the initiative, all pending land measurement applications will be resolved by January 31, with a commitment to complete measurements within seven working days for undisputed land and 11 working days for disputed land starting April 1.
Mandatory upload of measurement reports by surveyors within 14 days of application submission and stringent monitoring by the Revenue and Land Reforms Department will ensure adherence to timelines.
Nitish Kumar expressed optimism that these reforms will significantly benefit the people of Bihar, making their daily lives more convenient, and encouraged public feedback on the new system by January 25.
