Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has departed from Patna to New Delhi for important meetings with the top leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party. His agenda includes discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, and Bihar in-charge Vinod Tawde. The focus of these meetings is expected to be on the upcoming cabinet expansion in Bihar.
Sources suggest that the list of potential ministers for the expansion will be discussed and possibly finalized during Chaudhary’s meeting with Amit Shah. Additionally, the talks with senior party members will likely cover political strategies and organizational issues within the state. Chaudhary is anticipated to return to Patna after concluding his meetings in Delhi.
Earlier, Chaudhary had a meeting with former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his residence in Patna, where he shared details of their interaction on a social media platform. This meeting has sparked political speculation in Bihar, hinting at an imminent cabinet expansion. Chaudhary’s visit to Delhi is seen as directly related to these unfolding developments.
Following Nitish Kumar’s resignation on April 14, Chaudhary assumed office as the new Chief Minister of Bihar. The pending cabinet expansion is expected to distribute the administrative workload more evenly among leaders and facilitate better governance.
Chief Minister Chaudhary also inspected sites along JP Ganga Path in Patna, exploring options for extending the stretch up to Buxar.
