The Bihar government has made a significant administrative decision to rename the Chief Minister’s official residence-cum-office in Patna as “Lok Sewak Awas.” The iconic 1 Anne Marg bungalow, previously known as the official residence of the Bihar Chief Minister, has now been assigned to the current Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. Former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recently vacated the 1 Anne Marg residence after serving there for nearly two decades.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, who is currently residing at 5 Deshratna Marg, visited his home district, Munger and Khagaria, to oversee various development projects. In Munger, he inspected the proposed Munger–Bhagalpur Ganga Path (Marine Drive) project at Babua Ghat. Choudhary expressed that the project would enhance regional development, traffic flow, and promote tourism and the local economy.
During his district visit, Chief Minister Choudhary engaged with Bharatiya Janata Party workers at a training program under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Mahabhiyan–2026, focusing on organizational strength and effective training. He also visited the Jyoti Temple to offer prayers for the state’s peace, prosperity, and progress. In Khagaria, Choudhary inspected the ongoing construction of the Sultanganj–Aguwani Ghat bridge over the Ganga river, emphasizing the need for quality work and timely completion to enhance connectivity and regional development.
Choudhary also reviewed the progress of the State Highway-95 Khagaria–Saharsa road project, highlighting the government’s commitment to bolstering infrastructure in Bihar. At the Katyayani Sthan Temple, he oversaw renovation and beautification work, instructing officials to ensure the project’s timely and high-quality execution.
