Reacting to the Karnataka government’s special legislature session opposing the VB-G RAM G Act, the state BJP alleges massive corruption in the Rural Development Department. State BJP General Secretary P. Rajeev claims funds from the 15th Finance Commission were misused, with grants diverted to Congress MLAs.
Rajeev criticizes Minister Priyank Kharge for alleged mismanagement, stating that funds meant for gram panchayats were distributed based on commissions. He warns that such misuse could lead to the state losing future grants and emphasizes the need for strict adherence to the Constitution in fund utilization.
The BJP demands transparency regarding the alleged misappropriation of funds, highlighting instances of corruption in various gram panchayats. Rajeev stresses the importance of addressing these issues promptly to prevent further financial irregularities and calls for accountability within the Rural Development Department.
Rajeev further alleges a scam in Raibag taluk and challenges the Congress on corruption claims. He accuses the Congress of shielding corruption and questions the party’s response to critical issues. The BJP asserts that the arrival of G Ram G has exposed existing scams, prompting the Congress’s defensive actions.
