The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially commenced the election process to select its next national president under the ongoing Sangathan Parv 2024. Dr. K. Laxman, BJP’s national election incharge, detailed the timetable for the organizational procedure, with the electoral roll set to be published on Friday. Nominations are scheduled to be filed on January 19 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
A press communique will be issued at 6.30 p.m. on January 19, post the withdrawal process completion, as per the outlined schedule. The official announcement of the new BJP national president is slated for January 20 between 11.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. at the party headquarters in the national Capital. Nitin Nabin, BJP’s working president, is expected to assume the role of the next national president, with the announcement set for January 20.
Nabin, a five-time member of the Bihar Assembly and former Minister in the Bihar government, is known for his organizational skills and administrative expertise. Apart from his legislative career, he has held key leadership positions at national and state levels within the party, with significant organizational responsibilities in states like Sikkim and Chhattisgarh. His elevation from working president to party president is scheduled for January 20.
