The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) observed its 47th foundation day in Gujarat, where Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and state president Jagdish Vishwakarma raised the party flag in Gandhinagar. Floral tributes were paid to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at the BJP state headquarters before the event.
Vishwakarma criticized Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for his remarks made during a rally in Keralam, calling them reflective of a negative and anti-Gujarat mindset. He emphasized that the people of Gujarat would respond fittingly to any disrespect towards the state.
Chief Minister Patel highlighted the BJP’s commitment to serving the nation first, stating that the party is not just a political entity but a platform for public service. He praised the party’s unwavering dedication to its ideology, even during challenging times when they had minimal representation.
The Chief Minister commended the party’s focus on development despite opposition pressure, emphasizing that BJP members work not just during elections but with a dedication to the nation’s well-being. He pointed out significant national achievements, such as the revocation of Article 370 and the flag hoisting in Kashmir, attributing these milestones to the hard work and sacrifices of party workers.
