The BJP criticized Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for his comments on the Ram Mandir donation embezzlement case. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak called out the SP and Congress for opposing the Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya, stating they lack the moral authority to question the matter. Pathak emphasized that attempts to politicize a faith-related issue were regrettable.
Pathak highlighted that the SP and Congress consistently opposed the Ram Temple, casting doubt on Lord Ram’s birthplace in Ayodhya. He asserted that these parties had no standing to raise concerns on the issue, given their past remarks against Lord Ram. BJP spokesperson R.P. Singh also criticized the SP leadership, urging them to refrain from questioning matters related to the Ram Temple.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey refrained from political involvement, emphasizing the importance of viewing the issue through a lens of faith rather than politics. Nationalist Congress Party (SP) MP Supriya Sule called for a thorough investigation into the alleged embezzlement, emphasizing the need for strict action against corruption at religious sites.
Sule highlighted the dedication of senior leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani to the Ram Temple construction movement. She stressed the significance of conducting a proper inquiry into the alleged wrongdoing, given the donations from devotees across India and abroad. The controversy arose after Akhilesh Yadav criticized the Uttar Pradesh government over the Ram Mandir donations embezzlement issue.
