The BJP criticized former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh for his comments on the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case. They accused the Congress of historically questioning Lord Ram’s existence and suggested Singh’s actions were politically motivated. The party emphasized that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was already investigating the alleged irregularities and that legal processes would proceed.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh stated that the Congress had no moral authority to speak on matters concerning Lord Ram and Sanatan Dharma. BJP Chief Spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo criticized Singh for his delayed reaction, suggesting that filing a case now was unwarranted given past positions of the Congress. Uttar Pradesh Minister Narendra Kashyap also questioned Singh’s remarks, highlighting the Congress’s historical denial of Lord Ram’s existence.
BJP spokesperson R.P. Singh accused Digvijaya Singh of repeatedly offending Hindu sentiments and criticized the Congress for its stance on Lord Ram. Meanwhile, Congress leaders defended Singh, with Senior Congress leader Husain Dalwai describing him as a devout believer. Dalwai accused the BJP of using religion for political gain, emphasizing the importance of keeping religion separate from politics.
