BJP National Yuva Morcha President and Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya has called for an investigation into train service disruptions on the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) network over the past three years. Surya highlighted the directive from the Chief Commissioner of Rail Safety (CCRS, stressing the importance of passenger safety and operational efficiency as top priorities for BMRCL.
Surya emphasized the need for urgent action by the Karnataka government to address the reported 20 service disruptions since 2024. He urged BMRCL to identify and rectify the root causes of these disruptions to restore public trust in the metro system. The MP underscored the responsibility of authorities to ensure the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of Namma Metro for commuters.
In response to the incidents, Surya has engaged with metro safety experts and submitted recommendations to BMRCL. He has also reached out to the Commissioner of Railway Safety (Southern Circle) to ensure accountability and uphold operational safety standards. Surya stressed the paramount importance of transparency, safety oversight, and public confidence in Bengaluru’s Metro system for all passengers.
