Former Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, a member of the BJP Central Parliamentary Board, expressed concern over the incident in Hubballi where a woman was forcibly stripped, creating fear among women in the state. He urged the government to take action against the culprits. Yediyurappa emphasized the need for a thorough investigation and the punishment of those responsible.

Another BJP leader, Basavaraj Bommai, strongly denounced the incident in Hubballi, labeling it as a cruel and inhumane act. Bommai criticized the Hubballi Police Commissioner for allegedly trying to close the case and highlighted the lack of accountability in the police department. He demanded the immediate transfer of the Commissioner.

Bommai further criticized the State Home Department for its failure to ensure the safety of citizens, accusing officials of negligence in protecting the woman involved. He criticized the selective arrests made under political influence and condemned the attempt to cover up the incident. Bommai called for accountability at all levels of the police department and emphasized the need for swift action in such cases.

BJP Legislative Council member Bharati Shetty met with the National Chairperson of the Women’s Commission, Vijaya K. Rahatkar, in Bengaluru to discuss the case. Shetty submitted a memorandum urging action against the police officials and Congress leaders allegedly involved in the incident.
