Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have condemned Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, for his recent remarks, likening his language to that of an “enemy nation.” This criticism follows Gandhi’s accusation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are “traitors” who have worked to “sell India.” Union Minister Giriraj Singh expressed that Gandhi’s rhetoric resembles that of a hostile country, emphasizing that the Indian public supports Modi and Shah.
Singh further stated that Gandhi’s behavior stems from frustration and a thirst for power within the Gandhi family. Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi asserted that the Congress has been marginalized by the people, emphasizing that the language used by Gandhi is not acceptable to the nation. BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari accused Gandhi of having an “anarchic” mindset, comparing his views to those of “Urban Naxals.”
Moreover, BJP National Spokesperson Ajay Alok alleged that the Gandhi family has a history of labeling Prime Ministers as “traitors,” indicating a disregard for national interests. Uttar Pradesh Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary viewed Gandhi’s statements as a ploy to regain attention due to electoral losses. Additionally, BJP MP Anurag Thakur reminded Gandhi of historical events, highlighting past instances of democracy being undermined.
