Senior BJP leader R. Ashoka and other prominent figures expressed sorrow over the demise of eight pilgrims in a tragic accident in Andhra Pradesh. The incident occurred near Mantralayam, where devotees from Chikkamagaluru district in Karnataka were en route for darshan. Ashoka conveyed his condolences to the affected families and emphasized the need for immediate compensation and medical support.

Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai also lamented the accident, which claimed the lives of eight devotees and left several others injured. He urged the state government to swiftly provide compensation to the bereaved families and ensure proper medical care for the injured. The tragic collision involved a car carrying pilgrims and a concrete vehicle, resulting in casualties and injuries.

Eight individuals from Karnataka lost their lives, and 12 others sustained injuries in the accident near Chilakaladona village. The victims, including women and a girl child, were heading to the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Mantralayam for pilgrimage.
