The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has denounced Iran for launching ballistic missiles and UAVs on its territory. The UAE’s air defense systems intercepted two ballistic missiles and three UAVs originating from Iran, resulting in three moderate injuries. The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs had earlier reported that three Indian nationals were injured in the attack on civilian sites by Iran.
Iran’s actions were labeled as an “unacceptable act of aggression” and a “direct threat to the UAE’s security, stability, and territorial integrity” by the UAE. The ministry emphasized that these attacks violate international law and the United Nations Charter. In response to the accusations, Iran’s main military command, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, denied carrying out any missile or drone operations against the UAE recently.
The headquarters spokesman, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, refuted the UAE’s claims, warning against falling into the trap set by the United States and Israel. Various countries, including Japan, Ireland, Austria, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, joined in condemning Iran’s attack on the UAE. India’s Ministry of External Affairs also criticized the assault, expressing support for dialogue and diplomacy to restore peace and stability in the Gulf region.
