BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad confirmed that a fire broke out at his New Delhi residence while he and his family were away in Patna. The incident, caused by a short circuit, resulted in damage to some household items. Firefighters quickly responded to the blaze, which was contained in an outer room of the house.

Prasad expressed gratitude for the concern shown by well-wishers and assured that everyone in his family was safe. The investigation into the fire is ongoing, with authorities attributing the cause to an electrical fault. The Delhi Fire Services dispatched three teams to the scene, successfully bringing the situation under control.

Representing the Patna Sahib constituency, Prasad has previously held ministerial positions in the field of Electronics and Information Technology. This incident adds to a recent spate of fire-related emergencies in the national capital, highlighting the importance of fire safety measures.
