Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra has accused a conspiracy to damage the esteemed Dharmasthala Sri Manjunatheshwara Temple’s image and hurt Hindu sentiments. The “mask man,” Chinnayya, involved in the Dharmasthala skull case, now claims he was part of a plot to defame the temple. Authorities may take action against activists linked to the temple controversy.
Chinnayya revealed that a plan existed to implicate Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade and mentioned actor Prakash Raj in his allegations. A writ petition concerning these claims was submitted to the Karnataka High Court. Vijayendra criticized the previous CM’s decision to initiate an SIT probe into the Dharmasthala case without thorough evaluation.
The BJP leader emphasized the need for an investigation into the alleged conspiracy’s financial aspects and possible foreign involvement. He questioned the motives behind Siddaramaiah’s sudden order for the SIT inquiry. Vijayendra also accused the Congress-led government of indirectly supporting such schemes and demanded transparency regarding the conspiracy’s backers.
Vijayendra raised concerns about the electoral roll revision process in Karnataka, highlighting issues with duplicate and deceased voters’ names. He mentioned that the BJP would determine its next steps after addressing these concerns with party leaders.
