BJP National Spokesperson R.P. Singh criticized Congress MP Manickam Tagore for his comments against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), cautioning him to reconsider his statements or face legal action. Tagore had strongly criticized the RSS, likening its operations to spreading hatred and drawing parallels with extremist groups like al-Qaeda. Singh supported Digvijaya Singh’s positive views on the RSS, highlighting the organizational strength of the BJP and RSS compared to the Congress.
Singh emphasized the BJP’s focus on empowering grassroots workers, contrasting it with the Congress’s dynastic approach. He pointed out the BJP’s track record of promoting workers to top leadership positions, in contrast to the Congress’s reliance on a single family for leadership roles. Singh also criticized the Congress for lacking credible leadership, concrete policies, and facing public skepticism, leading to rejection by the electorate.
According to Singh, the Congress’s current state reflects a departure from its historical contributions during the freedom struggle, now driven primarily by a thirst for power rather than public service.
