BJP State President and MLA, B.Y. Vijayendra, accused the Congress in Karnataka of having four power centers and urged Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to dissolve the Assembly if internal conflicts persist. Vijayendra highlighted a power struggle for the Chief Minister’s post and criticized the government’s inability to deliver meaningful development.
According to Vijayendra, the state government’s failure to address public concerns has led to frustration among the people, particularly farmers who have taken to the streets in protest. He pointed out that Chief Minister Shivakumar has struggled to manage competing interests within the government, affecting governance.
Vijayendra further claimed that the Congress in Karnataka is grappling with internal discord caused by four prominent figures: D.K. Shivakumar, B.K. Hariprasad, Mallikarjuna Kharge, and Siddaramaiah. He alleged that this internal power struggle has disrupted the party’s functioning and hindered progress in the state.
The BJP leader criticized the government for neglecting the welfare of farmers, the poor, and the public, accusing it of mismanagement and governance failures over the past three years. He expressed concerns about growing dissatisfaction within the Cabinet, citing recent resignations and discontent among ministers over portfolio allocations.
Vijayendra raised doubts about the Congress’s electoral prospects in the next election, emphasizing the need for the party to address issues of seniority and sincerity. He highlighted the BJP’s organizational strength, dedicated workers, and strategic approach as key factors independent of Congress infighting.
