Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in Patna protested against Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of promoting anti-national sentiments and disrespecting Indian culture. Led by Sanjay Kumar Gupta, BJP MLA from Kumhrar Assembly constituency, the protest saw workers marching from the Bihar BJP headquarters to Income Tax Square. There, they voiced their grievances against Rahul Gandhi and burned his effigy.
During the demonstration, BJP workers demanded a public apology from Rahul Gandhi, blaming the Indian Youth Congress for tarnishing India’s global image during the recent AI Summit in Delhi. They alleged that the protests by Congress supporters during the summit, where international delegations were present, brought shame to the nation on an international platform.
Addressing the BJP workers, Sanjay Kumar Gupta highlighted that the actions of Congress-associated youth wing during the AI Summit had harmed India’s reputation. He emphasized that the inappropriate protests during the Summit, including attempts to enter by forging entry IDs, were a serious matter. The protest was condemned as an effort to defame India globally, orchestrated by Rahul Gandhi.
Senior BJP leader and Spokesperson Arvind Kumar Singh criticized Congress and Rahul Gandhi for their role in the AI Summit protest. Singh claimed that the protest aimed to insult Indian culture and was directed by Rahul Gandhi to malign India’s image internationally.
