The bodies of a young man and a woman were discovered in a flat in the Golf Green area of south Kolkata. Two young men, who were reportedly intoxicated, were found inside the flat and have been taken into custody. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
The deceased man, identified as Mohammad Dilshad from Tiljala in east Kolkata, was a regular visitor to the Golf Green flat. Dilshad had rented the flat and frequently brought different individuals to the premises.
On Sunday morning, the bodies of two individuals, including Dilshad and a young woman, were found in the flat. The woman’s identity remains unknown, and the nature of her relationship with Dilshad is yet to be determined, though initial information suggests they were in a relationship.
Authorities have arrested the two young men present in the flat during the discovery of the bodies. A significant amount of suspected narcotics was also seized from the premises. Investigators are working to understand the reason for the gathering of the four individuals at the flat.
Local residents have expressed frustration over the incident, claiming that absentee flat owners in the Golf Green complex often rent out their properties, leading to the frequent presence of suspicious individuals. Despite complaints, residents feel that an effective solution to the issue has not been implemented.
