Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar, known for her role as Janhvi in the iconic movie ‘Judaai’, recently shared that working alongside the legendary Sridevi was a daunting experience due to the latter’s strong presence and acting prowess.
During a guest appearance on the dance reality show ‘India’s Best Dancer Season 5’, alongside judges Karisma Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, Geeta Kapur, and Terence Lewis, Urmila reminisced about her experiences behind the scenes of the 1997 blockbuster drama ‘Judaai’.
Urmila candidly expressed the pressure she felt acting alongside Sridevi and Anil Kapoor, describing it as a surreal and intimidating experience. She humorously recounted a backstory related to the hit song ‘Haan Mujhe Pyaar Hua Allah Miya’.
Reflecting on the movie’s plot, ‘Judaai’ revolves around a wife swapping her husband for money, only to regret her decision later, realizing the consequences of introducing a third person into their marital relationship for material gain.
The film, produced by Boney Kapoor, featured a star-studded cast including Sridevi, Anil Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, and other renowned actors like Kader Khan, Farida Jalal, and Johnny Lever.
