The teaser for the song “Ghar Kab Aaoge” from Border 2 has been unveiled by the creators, featuring renowned singers like Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh. Scheduled for release on 2nd January 2026, the full song will debut at a grand event in Longewala-Tanot, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Anu Malik’s music, reimagined by Mithoon, and new lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla, aim to revive the iconic essence of the original track by Javed Akhtar.
The original song “Sandese Aate Hai” from the 1999 movie “Border” was a hit, sung by Sonu Nigam and Roopkumar Rathod, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. The film starred Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, and Jackie Shroff. Directed by Anurag Singh, “Border 2” features a stellar cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and others. Produced by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, in collaboration with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films, the movie is set to hit theaters on January 23, 2026.
Varun Dhawan, discussing his role in the film, emphasized the physical and mental challenges of portraying a soldier on screen. He highlighted the demanding nature of the shoot at real locations like Babina, requiring a soldier’s mindset due to the tough conditions. For Varun, fitness became more about stamina and recovery than just appearance, given the rigorous demands of “Border 2.”
