Boxing World Cup silver medalist Jadumani Singh showcased a blend of aggression and technical prowess to secure his inaugural Senior National title in the men’s 50-55kg category, triumphing over fellow international and SSCB teammate Pawan Bartwal. The Elite Men and Women National Boxing Championships saw SSCB emerge as the top performer with 12 gold medals, held at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida.

For the first time, the men’s and women’s National Championships took place concurrently at the same venue, attracting 600 boxers from all corners of the country across 10 weight categories for both genders. SSCB claimed victory in nine men’s categories and three women’s categories, solidifying their dominance in the competition.

In a highly anticipated showdown, Jadumani outshone Pawan with a flawless performance, securing a resounding 5:0 victory to clinch the coveted gold medal. Following suit, SSCB’s Aditya Pratap triumphed over Abhinash Jamwal in the men’s 60-65kg category, while Ankush emerged victorious in the men’s 75-80kg category, claiming their first senior national titles.

In the women’s division, SSCB’s Preeti and Pranjal Yadav, alongside Railway’s Priya and Alfiyan Khan, secured their maiden senior national gold medals in their respective weight categories. Noteworthy performances included world champion Minakshi’s dominant win in the women’s 45-48kg category and Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain’s triumph in the women’s 70-75kg category.
