Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti is in the final stages of selecting his squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, with room for potential adjustments as the European season progresses. Ancelotti emphasized that there is still time for players to stake their claim for a spot on the team.
Speaking at an event in Rio de Janeiro, Ancelotti acknowledged the abundance of talented players available for selection, indicating that while the list is nearing completion, certain positions remain undecided. He commended the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) for their meticulous pre-tournament preparations, including securing top-notch training facilities in New Jersey.
Praising the logistical support provided by the CBF, Ancelotti highlighted the excellent training center and accommodations that have enabled the team to focus on their World Cup preparations with a positive and optimistic mindset. The World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Brazil’s Group C campaign will kick off against Morocco on June 13, followed by matches against Haiti on June 19 and Scotland on June 24. Ancelotti’s team will engage in friendly matches against France and Croatia in March, with additional warmup games against Panama and Egypt expected to be finalized ahead of the tournament.
