Brighton secured a 2-1 home victory over Liverpool, thanks to two goals from Danny Welbeck. Welbeck’s strikes in the 14th and post-break periods were crucial in the win. Despite Milos Kerkez equalizing for Liverpool, Welbeck’s second goal settled the match, dealing a blow to Liverpool’s top-four aspirations. Liverpool has now suffered 10 defeats in 31 league games this season.

Everton inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Chelsea, climbing to eighth place in the standings. Norberto Beto and Iliman Ndiaye’s goals contributed to Everton’s impressive performance. Beto’s opener, followed by his second goal and Ndiaye’s strike, sealed the win for Everton. The victory lifted Everton to seventh place in the Premier League, just three points behind their Merseyside rivals.

Leeds United and Brentford played out a goalless draw, with both teams missing opportunities to secure a win. Burnley faced a 3-1 loss to Fulham, with Zian Flemming scoring first for Burnley before Josh King, Harry Wilson, and Raul Jimenez’s late penalty turned the game in Fulham’s favor.
