Britain’s Felix Gill triumphed over India’s Sumit Nagal in a tense battle at the Maha Open ATP Challenger. The match lasted 2 hours and 37 minutes, with Gill winning 7-6(4), 0-6, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals. Nagal initially took the lead in the first set but struggled to maintain it, leading to a closely fought tie-breaker.

In a dominating performance, Lithuania’s Edas Butvilas defeated Tung-Lin Wu of Chinese Taipei in just 58 minutes. Butvilas controlled the game from the start, winning 6-3, 6-0 without giving his opponent much room to retaliate. The victory secured Butvilas a spot in the next round of the tournament.

Japanese qualifier Masamichi Imamura caused a major upset by defeating second seed Jay Clarke of Great Britain in straight sets. Imamura’s fearless play and ability to capitalize on break-point opportunities led to a 6-2, 6-4 victory in 1 hour and 19 minutes. This unexpected win marked a significant moment in the tournament.

Indian wildcard Manas Dhamne will carry the hopes of the home crowd in the upcoming quarterfinals against Duje Ajdukovic of Croatia. The match is scheduled for Friday at 3 pm, promising an exciting showdown between the two players.
