Top British tennis player Katie Boulter and her Australian professional player fiance, Alex de Minaur, exchanged vows in a private church ceremony. The wedding coincided with the Wimbledon grass court major, where both athletes were eliminated early in the competition. The intimate ceremony took place at a Grade II-listed church in Old Woodhouse, Leicestershire, near Katie’s hometown.
Katie, a former British number one women’s player, currently holds the second spot, while De Minaur is Australia’s top-ranked player and stands at number six globally. The couple, who had been dating for almost five years, revealed their engagement through a social media post in December 2024. Boulter shared the news on Instagram with a selfie showing off her engagement ring.
In the 2024 season, both athletes achieved significant milestones on the court. Boulter broke into the Top 25 of the WTA Rankings for the first time, while De Minaur secured a place in the ATP’s Top 10. Their successes on the tour were mutually credited to each other. The pair notably celebrated victories on the same weekend, with De Minaur winning in Acapulco and then witnessing Boulter’s triumph in San Diego.
During another memorable moment, they both clinched titles on the same day, with De Minaur triumphing in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Boulter winning in Nottingham.
