Hollywood actress Brooke Shields has criticized the creators of ‘South Park’ for their alleged lack of concern towards workers at their Colorado restaurant. Shields, who is the president of a labor union representing former employees at Casa Bonita, expressed disappointment over the treatment of the staff. The restaurant, known for its unique features like a 30ft waterfall and cliff diving performances, faced negotiations with employees regarding safety issues and wages.
Shields highlighted the workers’ demands for better pay to align with servers’ salaries. Despite some concessions by the management during negotiations, concerns over working conditions and wages persist. Shields personally visited Casa Bonita in March to deliver a letter from the performers requesting improved wages, expressing dissatisfaction with the management’s response. She emphasized the importance of respectful dialogue but noted the need for alternative approaches when faced with a lack of cooperation.
