Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao accused the imprisonment of party leader Balka Suman as a tactic to shift focus from Congress government failures and coal scams at Singareni Collieries. Rama Rao, along with BRS leaders, visited Suman in Chanchalguda Jail, where he is held for allegedly inciting an attack on Singareni property. The BRS remains undeterred by the government’s actions, vowing to confront the Congress and ensure accountability for Singareni workers’ well-being.
Rama Rao highlighted the BRS’s exposure of a Rs 15,000 crore scam involving ‘Site Visitation Certificates,’ allegedly overseen by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s brother-in-law. He also mentioned irregularities in solar tenders and a coal tender dispute among ministers that led to media arrests and tender cancellation. Balka Suman’s support for Singareni workers’ rights was commended during a Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangham meeting.
Criticism was directed at the Congress government for neglecting Singareni workers’ interests, citing failures in job appointments and unwarranted vigilance inquiries. Rama Rao denounced the distortion of Suman’s statement to frame him under the PDPP Act, aiming to conceal exploitation within Singareni. Despite Suman’s imprisonment, the BRS remains resolute in exposing the truth behind government irregularities and Singareni exploitation.
